The Haloscan system is now running again. Apparently the server decided to just leave for vacation early. The Haloscan employees had to chase it down in their IT truck that they usually use to haul servers from the company they buy them from to their datacenter and then grab it and strap it down to the floor as it kept fighting to get away. The server underwent psychotherapy and is now back in its rack happily serving us our comments. Way to go Haloscan!
